Defense of Jair Bolsonaro Requests STF Authorization for Father's Day Visit by His Sons

The legal defense team of former President Jair Bolsonaro has filed a petition with the Supreme Federal Court (STF) requesting authorization for him to receive a visit from his sons—Flávio, Carlos, and Jair Renan—on the afternoon of upcoming Father's Day.

Submitted to Justice Alexandre de Moraes, the request relies on the "exceptional and strictly humanitarian" nature of the date. 

According to the attorneys, the purpose of the meeting is solely to ensure the preservation of family emotional bonds on the occasion, without prejudice to compliance with current precautionary measures or ongoing investigations.

The petition highlights the following points:

Humanitarian nature: The document emphasizes that family time on dates of strong personal significance remains a right protected even under custody or restriction of rights.

Preservation of guarantees: The defense argues that a brief family gathering will neither interfere with nor compromise the enforcement of existing restrictive measures.

Following receipt of the request, reporting Justice Alexandre de Moraes directed the Prosecutor General's Office (PGR) to issue an opinion on the temporary flexibility request.
