The President of Ukraine held a high-level meeting today with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. The virtual discussion focused on deepening bilateral relations, advancing defense technology partnerships, and coordinating joint efforts to mitigate the global food supply crisis.

The conversation is part of Ukraine’s daily active diplomacy with international partners to reinforce national security and regional stability. According to the Ukrainian Head of State, the synergy between both nations holds significant potential to expand mutual capabilities to protect civilian lives and populations.

Advances in Defense Cooperation and Multilateral Partnerships

During the meeting, the leaders outlined the next operational steps for implementing the Drone Agreement signed between Kyiv and Riyadh. The project aims to drive technological exchange and advance autonomous defense capabilities.

Additionally, the Crown Prince shared details regarding Saudi Arabia's recent strategic agreements and negotiations with Turkey and Pakistan, opening up prospects for greater multilateral integration and cooperation in shared geopolitical areas of interest.

Contribution to Worldwide Food Security

Global food security — described by the Ukrainian presidency as an "urgent global need" — was another central topic on the agenda. Both countries agreed to align positions and coordinate diplomatic contacts to ensure the continuity and efficiency of grain and agricultural product supply chains, which are vital to the stability of vulnerable regions worldwide.
