The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson's Unit published a technical and operational statement on Sunday afternoon (9), updating the public and international media on security directives applied to ground forces in the Gaza Strip and along the Lebanese border.

The official statement ratifies the maintenance of a high state of readiness and details the IDF General Staff determinations approved in alignment with the Security Cabinet:

"The Israel Defense Forces remain deployed along established defensive lines, with explicit orders to act in self-defense and contain any imminent threat to the safety of troops or national territory. Operational incursions outside the designated zone remain subject to prior and direct authorization from the Chief of the General Staff."

Highlights of the Operational Statement:

Monitoring and Security Perimeter: The IDF reiterates that defensive positions along the so-called Yellow Line in the Gaza Strip remain active. The movement of supplies and humanitarian infrastructure projects in the southern region continue under direct security supervision to prevent the diversion of resources by armed groups.

Preventive Actions in Southern Lebanon: In response to detected violations along the northern border, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) and Ground Units executed targeted strikes against military infrastructure targets in southern Lebanon, preceded by preventive evacuation notices to the local civilian population in specific areas such as Tebnine and Al-Mansouri.

International Coordination: United States Central Command (CENTCOM) maintains continuous coordination with the IDF General Staff to monitor regional airspace and maritime routes.
