The Government of Ukraine has announced the transition of Minister Mykhailo Fedorov to directly lead the state's technological consolidation, innovation capacity, and management. The reorganization aims to centralize the nation's modernization strategy and accelerate the development of critical defense technologies and digital governance.
Renowned for his work in digitizing the public sector and modernizing the Armed Forces — particularly through the large-scale deployment of drone systems, cyber warfare, and process debureaucratization —, Fedorov concludes his tenure at the Ministry of Defense to focus on the nation's structural technological advancement.
The new framework under Fedorov's leadership will work to strengthen the innovation ecosystem, ensuring the continuous integration of autonomous systems and technological solutions into the country's security and administrative architecture. The interim management of the Ministry of Defense will be assumed by Yevhenii Khmara during this transition period.
This measure reaffirms Ukraine's strategic commitment to maintaining technology and digital efficiency as central pillars of its sovereignty and operational capabilities.
