According to Jair Renan, the president's remarks, which alluded to the public hanging of "traitors to the homeland," constitute a grave and direct insinuation of violence against members of the Bolsonaro family.

In the video, Jair Renan criticized the Chief Executive's stance, highlighting the emotional impact and the institutional gravity of the statements.

"This statement was very grave. It wasn't an anonymous militant on the internet; it was the President of the Republic—the man who should represent all Brazilians—insinuating that my family deserves the gallows," stated Jair Renan.

History of Violence and Legal Action

The statement recalled the 2018 assassination attempt on his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro, emphasizing that the family has already been the target of real-world violence in a public space. Jair Renan challenged the narrative that the opposition promotes hate speech, arguing instead that the rhetoric of annihilation actually originates from their political adversaries.

In addition to the public condemnation, it was confirmed that the legal counsel and campaign team of his brother, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, have already taken an official stance on the matter. The case will be brought before the Supreme Federal Court (STF) so that the appropriate legal measures can be taken.
