On the 30th Anniversary of the Constitution, Zelensky Extols the Unity of the People as the True Pillar of Ukraine's Independence

In an official statement laden with symbolism, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, celebrated the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the country's Constitution. The Ukrainian leader emphasized that while the legal document is the fundamental bedrock of the State, the true strength of national sovereignty resides in the courage and unity of the millions of citizens who defend the country daily.

"Any articles of our Constitution would remain only letters on paper without the millions of Ukrainians who are ready to defend our independence, their land, their rights and freedoms," the President stated.

Adopted on June 28, 1996, the Fundamental Law of Ukraine marked three decades at a time when the country continues to fight for the maintenance of its territorial integrity. In his speech, Zelensky connected the historical significance of the document with the current resilience of the civilian population and the armed forces.

According to the President, this collective determination is the primary reason why Ukraine stands firm "under our own flags, battle standards, and crosses."

The President concluded his statement with a formal expression of gratitude to all those contributing to the country's resistance—from frontline soldiers to citizens maintaining essential services—reaffirming his unwavering confidence in victory and the preservation of Ukrainian freedom.
