Technocratic committee consolidates global partnerships, educational strategies, and UN cooperation, while maintaining diplomatic pressure to guarantee access and overcome operational barriers in Gaza.

The most recent updates on the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) highlight a phase of intense international coordination and technical planning focused on the civil transition and the reconstruction of the enclave. Institutional progress, however, remains stalled by political and operational impasses in the region.

Under the leadership of Chief Commissioner Ali Shaath, the committee has consolidated crucial fronts to ensure the administrative and structural viability of the Gaza Strip as soon as access conditions are established.

Highlights of NCAG's Recent Activities:

 

Diplomatic Dialogue and International Partnerships: NCAG has led high-level meetings with special envoys to consolidate support for the Gaza Recovery Program (GRP). Noteworthy are the meetings with the Japanese ambassador for Gaza's reconstruction and representatives of JICA, aimed at aligning the implementation of the comprehensive plan and establishing joint working groups focused on physical and institutional restructuring.

 

Educational and Humanitarian Planning: Urgent sectoral fronts are already underway. In education, commissioners carried out missions in locations such as Cairo to coordinate the return of displaced Palestinian educators, combating learning loss and planning the reconstruction of school infrastructure.

 

Coordination with the UN: The committee held strategic meetings with United Nations agencies to align the initial recovery strategy and accelerate the entry of humanitarian assistance as soon as logistical viability is established.

 

Obstacles on the Ground and Israeli Resistance: Despite diplomatic progress and the announcement of the roadmap for Hamas's exit from civil administration, NCAG's direct operation within the enclave remains blocked. The Israeli government imposes barriers to the committee's entry and rejects parts of the international plan, demanding the complete disarmament of the Palestinian group and strict compliance with security conditions.

NCAG reaffirms its focus on a purely technical, humanitarian, and administrative transition, essential for the stabilization and future of Gaza's civil population.
