ISRAEL AND "BOARD OF PEACE" AGREE TO CREATE WORKING GROUPS FOR GAZA IN HIGH-LEVEL DIPLOMATIC MEETING

ISRAEL AND "BOARD OF PEACE" AGREE TO CREATE WORKING GROUPS FOR GAZA IN HIGH-LEVEL DIPLOMATIC MEETING

Joint initiative focuses on practical guidelines for the region's disarmament and urgent improvements in infrastructure, sanitation, and public health.

The Israeli government and representatives of the Board of Peace announced the establishment of two bilateral working groups aimed at the management and future of the Gaza Strip. The agreement was reached following meetings described by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office as deep and constructive, with the participation of United States envoy Jared Kushner and the Board of Peace's High Representative for Gaza, Nickolay Mladenov.

The strategic alignment aims to practically structure the next phases of the transition and reconstruction plan for the territory:
Disarmament Working Group: Focused on the demilitarization of Gaza. Israeli authorities and the Board of Peace reiterated their determination that the disarmament process must be concluded in a rigorous and verified manner before the start of broad civil reconstruction projects in the area.

Sanitation and Public Health Working Group: Directed at resolving critical issues of basic infrastructure, provision of drinking water, sanitation, and public health, with direct and beneficial impacts for both the population of Gaza and Israel's health security.

The creation of these committees reflects the progress in diplomatic understandings mediated by the international administration of the Board of Peace, seeking to consolidate milestones of stability, technical governance, and long-term regional cooperation.
