Former Ukrainian minister takes on an external and strategic advisory role focused on autonomous systems, asymmetric warfare, and strengthening the European defense tech ecosystem.

The Italian Ministry of Defense has officially appointed Mykhailo Fedorov as its new advisor for defense innovation. Operating under an external and strategic collaboration agreement without permanent employment ties, Fedorov will advise the Italian government drawing on the extensive practical experience accumulated in modern conflict scenarios.

The new assignment consolidates a direct channel of technical exchange between the tactical expertise developed in Ukraine and the modernization needs of the Italian Armed Forces. Fedorov's scope of work spans four main pillars:

Modern Warfare Technology Consultancy: Direct guidance to the Italian government on the tactical use, industrial development, and advanced integration of drones and unmanned systems.
